• Hit exposed blots: Leaving a single checker alone on a point creates a vulnerable blot. If your opponent lands on that point, your checker is sent to the central bar and must re-enter from the opponent's home board on your next turn before you can make any other moves.
• Establish points and primes: Stacking two or more checkers on a single point creates a safe position that the opponent cannot land on. Linking several made points in a row creates a prime, blocking enemy checkers from advancing easily.
• Bear off to win: Once all fifteen of your checkers reach your designated home board quadrant, you can begin bearing them off the board based on your rolls. The first player to clear all fifteen checkers wins the match.

To win consistently against sharp opponents, balance aggressive race tactics with rock-solid defense:

• Build home board strength early: Making points inside your home quadrant makes it much harder for your opponent to re-enter when you send their blots to the bar.
• Secure an anchor in enemy territory: Holding two checkers on a point deep in your opponent's home board gives you a safe landing spot and lets you threaten their vulnerable pieces as they move forward.
• Minimize direct shots: Try not to leave lone checkers within six pips of an opponent piece unless the potential reward outweighs the risk of getting hit.
• Calculate the pip count: When ahead in the race, play conservatively and focus on safely bringing pieces home without leaving open blots. When behind, play a holding game to intercept your opponent's checkers.
