Board multipliers and scoring mechanics

Success in Outspell depends on how effectively you exploit bonus squares across the board. Letter multiplier squares increase the point value of the specific tile placed on top of them before the word total is calculated. Word multiplier squares double or triple the final score of the entire word created during that turn.

When you place a word that intersects multiple bonus spaces, the multipliers combine to produce huge scores. Placing a single high-value tile like Q, Z, or X on a triple letter square can easily turn an ordinary five-letter word into a game-winning play. You can also score points for multiple words in one turn by placing tiles parallel to existing words on the grid.

• Control the bonus lanes: Avoid playing words that leave empty squares adjacent to triple word multipliers for your opponent.
• Target two-letter intersections: Play words alongside existing lines to create several two-letter words in a single move.
